My 11 year old is reading it. I told her she had to read a few other books first, such as The Diary of Anne Frank. LOL
I don't think she'll be moving on to the others any time soon, though, in my defense.
I agree I don't get the hate. I mean if they're not your cup of tea fine, but why get so worked up about it?
